Departure from Losuia, Trobiand Islands on 11 August, 1968 followed a weekend of buying souveniers and engaging with the local population. The open transport (light truck with bench seating) reversed up to the door of VH-PNB to transfer passengers, luggage and purchasers. Locals crowded around to make a last minute deal!! These weekend trips were a feature of Patair's operation for many years.
